Letting client edit own website

I would like to create a website for a client and once it is completed, allow the client to edit information on the site.
Maybe limit to certain pages… or sections…
Is there an “easy to instruct” to a non-technical client how to do that type of editing?
Is there a template that is best for this situation?
Thanks in advance for any help or direction of where to find this information.
